Our services
K-TOOL Engineering delivers micron-level profile grinding for precision tooling — punches, dies, form tools and gauges machined to exacting tolerances. Trusted by semiconductor, mould & die and automotive manufacturers across Penang, Malaysia and worldwide.

Overview
Profile grinding is a precision machining process that uses a shaped grinding wheel to cut complex two-dimensional profiles into hardened materials. It achieves micron-level accuracy and fine surface finishes on intricate geometries that other methods struggle to hold — sharp internal corners, tight radii and steep angles.
It is the right choice when CNC machining or wire cutting cannot deliver the precision or finish your part demands. For high-tolerance punches and dies, form tools and gauges made from hardened steel or tungsten carbide, profile grinding produces repeatable, production-ready accuracy you can rely on, batch after batch.
Capabilities
Specifications achieved on our profile grinding machines. Every job is reviewed against your drawing and tolerance stack before we quote.
Programmed to a 0.0001 mm (0.1 μm) setting resolution and verified to ±1 μm on our CCD measuring system.
Punches, dies, form tools, gauges, inserts and profile templates.
Hardened tool steel, stainless, tungsten carbide and exotic alloys.
Fine, repeatable ground finishes — high surface quality verified under ×50 optical projection.
Work table 600 × 180 mm with grinding travel up to 300 mm (U) × 150 mm (W).
Φ60–Φ180 mm wheels at spindle speeds up to 20,000 min⁻¹ for fine detail and form work.
